Please email Jeff Kyle, our Community Groups Coordinator, to talk about these options further and get in touch with the right people.

Wednesdays (7-9pm) in West Torrance. Led by Hobin L. and Abe B. We usually spend time discussing Sunday’s sermon, sharing, and praying for one another. We are a mixture of singles, married couples, and young kid(s). One of the traits of our CG is we are fairly open about our struggles, questions about faith, and the joys of life. We also hang out often outside the weekly meetings. If you live in the area, we’d love you to come check us out!

Book Study – Dark Clouds, Deep Mercy [Facilitator: Bethany Williamson]: What kind of language does the Bible give us for wrestling honestly and faithfully with grief, discouragement, and even despair? As we read and discuss Mark Vroegop’s Dark Clouds, Deep Mercy, we’ll consider how the Psalms and Lamentations provide a rich framework for speaking to God about our own disappointments, others’ pain, and even overwhelming issues like racial injustice. We’ll meet 3x on Friday evenings (9/9, 9/23, & 10/14, from 7-8:30pm) in N. Redondo. Given the nature of our discussions, the group will be small (max 7) and high commitment; if you’d like to participate, please plan to attend all 3 gatherings. REGISTER here.

Monthly Women’s Gatherings – Whether you have been at King’s Cross for a while or are new to the church, it can be hard to connect with others. This fall, we are organizing monthly Women’s Gatherings to meet other women in the church and grow in community.

Men’s Ministry Meetups: Many men have the tendency to be “lone wolves”, but we are called to live and grow in Christ through community. For that reason, we will organize monthly meetups for brothers to share their lives, pray for each other, enjoy manly things, and grow healthier both spiritually and physically! Some examples of potential meetups are Friday nights at a brewery or prayer paired with an activity (e.g. surfing, road biking, basketball). Stand by for details about our next event.
