The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance. Psalm 16:6

Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. Psalm 63:3

“For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?” Mark 8:36

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9

“The cost of discipleship is high, but the cost of non-discipleship is even higher.” – Dallas Willard

“Civilization is the limitless multiplication of unnecessary necessities.” – Mark Twain

“Whatever your heart clings to and confides in, that is really your god.” – Martin Luther

“There is no peace like the peace of those whose minds are possessed with full assurance that they have known God, and God has known them, and this relationship guarantees God’s favor to them in life, through death and on forever.” – J.I. Packer

“Come, everyone who thirsts,
    come to the waters;
and he who has no money,
    come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
    without money and without price.
Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread,
and your labor for that which does not satisfy?
Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good,
and delight yourselves in rich food.

Isaiah 55:1-2

Sweet the Moments, Rich in Blessing

[Verse 1]
Sweet the moments, rich in blessing
Which before the cross we spend
Life and health and peace possessing
From the sinner’s dying Friend

Here we find our hope of Heaven
While upon the Lamb we gaze
Loving much, and much forgiven
Let our hearts sing out His praise

[Verse 2]
Oh, that, near the cross abiding
We may to the Savior cleave
Naught with Him our hearts dividing
All for Him content to leave

Here we rest, in wonder viewing
All our sins on Jesus laid
Find our full redemption flowing
From the sacrifice He made

[Verse 3]
May we still, the cross discerning
There for peace and comfort go
There new wonders daily learning
All the depths of mercy know

Lord, in ceaseless contemplation
Fix our hearts and eyes on Thee
Till we taste Thy full salvation
And unveiled Thy glories see

Here we find our hope of Heaven
While upon the Lamb we gaze
Loving much, and much forgiven
Let our hearts sing out His praise

Build My Life

[Verse 1]
Worthy of every song we could ever sing
Worthy of all the praise we could ever bring
Worthy of every breath we could ever breathe
We live for You

Jesus, the Name above every other name
Jesus, the only One who could ever save
Worthy of every breath we could ever breathe
We live for You
Oh, we live for You

Holy, there is no one like You
There is none beside You
Open up my eyes in wonder
And show me who You are
And fill me with Your heart
And lead me in Your love to those around me

[Verse 1]

I will build my life upon Your love
It is a firm foundation
And I will put my trust in You alone
And I will not be shaken

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

“The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

Matthew 6:19-24

All For Jesus

[Verse 1]
All for Jesus! All for Jesus!
All my being’s ransomed pow’rs
All my thoughts and words and doings
All my days and all my hours

[Verse 2]
Let my hands perform his bidding
Let my feet run in his ways
Let my eyes see Jesus only
Let my lips speak forth his praise

[Verse 3]
Worldlings prize their gems of beauty
Cling to gilded toys of dust
Boast of wealth and fame and pleasure
Only Jesus will I trust

[Verse 4]
Since my eyes were fixed on Jesus
I’ve lost sight of all beside
So enchained my spirit’s vision
Looking at the Crucified.

[Verse 5]
O what wonder! How amazing!
Jesus, glorious King of kings
Deigns to call me his beloved
Lets me rest beneath his wings

“Come Follow Me”
Mark 10:17-31

17 And as he was setting out on his journey, a man ran up and knelt before him and asked him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” 18 And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone. 19 You know the commandments: ‘Do not murder, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honor your father and mother.’” 20 And he said to him, “Teacher, all these I have kept from my youth.” 21 And Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “You lack one thing: go, sell all that you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”22 Disheartened by the saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.

23 And Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How difficult it will be for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!” 24 And the disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said to them again, “Children, how difficult it is to enter the kingdom of God! 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” 26 And they were exceedingly astonished, and said to him, “Then who can be saved?” 27 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.”28 Peter began to say to him, “See, we have left everything and followed you.” 29 Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and for the gospel, 30 who will not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come eternal life. 31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”

[Verse 1]
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly trust in Jesus name

Christ alone, Cornerstone
Weak made strong in the Savior’s love
Through the storm, He is Lord
Lord of all

[Verse 2]
When darkness seems to hide His face
I rest on His unchanging grace
In every high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil
My anchor holds within the veil

[Verse 3]
When He shall come with trumpet sound
Oh may I then in Him be found
Dressed in His righteousness alone
Faultless stand before the throne

On Christ the solid rock I stand
All other ground is sinking sand
All other ground is sinking sand

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Philippians 4:19-20
