Welcome, we’re glad you’re here. Our vision echoes the Lord’s prayer: may it be “in the South Bay, as it is in heaven.” We yearn to see people flourishing in Jesus. Join us in the worship of our Lord.

PREPARATION FOR WORSHIP

Before me no god was formed,
nor shall there be any after me.
I, I am the Lord,
and besides me there is no savior.
Isaiah 43:10-11

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,
   baptizing them in the name
of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 28:19

And this is eternal life, that they know you,
   the only true God,
and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
John 17:3

And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him; and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”
Matthew 3:16-17

“For who has understood the mind of the Lord
   so as to instruct him?”
But we have the mind of Christ.
1 Corinthians 2:16

Q. 6. How many persons are there in the Godhead?
A. There are three persons in the Godhead;
   the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost;
and these three are one God,
the same in substance, equal in power and glory.
– Westminster Shorter Catechism #6

SONG

Sweet the Moments, Rich in Blessing

[Verse 1]
Sweet the moments, rich in blessing
Which before the cross we spend
Life and health and peace possessing
From the sinner’s dying Friend

Here we find our hope of Heaven
While upon the Lamb we gaze
Loving much, and much forgiven
Let our hearts sing out His praise

[Verse 2]
Oh, that, near the cross abiding
We may to the Savior cleave
Naught with Him our hearts dividing
All for Him content to leave

Here we rest, in wonder viewing
All our sins on Jesus laid
Find our full redemption flowing
From the sacrifice He made

[Verse 3]
May we still, the cross discerning
There for peace and comfort go
There new wonders daily learning
All the depths of mercy know

Lord, in ceaseless contemplation
Fix our hearts and eyes on Thee
Till we taste Thy full salvation
And unveiled Thy glories see

[Coda]
Here we find our hope of Heaven
While upon the Lamb we gaze
Loving much, and much forgiven
Let our hearts sing out His praise

SONG

Grace Alone

[Verse 1]
I was an orphan lost at the Fall
Running away when I’d hear Your call
Father, You worked Your will

I had no righteousness of my own
I had no right to draw near Your throne
Father, You loved me still

And in love before You laid
the world’s foundation
You predestined to adopt me
as Your own

You have raised me up so high
above my station
I’m a child of God by grace and grace alone

[Verse 2]
You left Your home to seek out the lost
You knew the great and terrible cost
Jesus, Your face was set

I worked my fingers down to the bone
Nothing I did could ever atone
Jesus, You paid my debt

By Your blood, I have redemption
and salvation
Lord, You died that I might reap
what You have sown

And You rose that I might be
a new creation
I am born again by grace and grace alone

[Verse 3]
I was in darkness all of my life
I never knew the day from the night
Spirit, You made me see

I swore I knew the way on my own
Head full of rocks, a heart made of stone
Spirit, You moved in me

At your touch my sleeping spirit
was awakened
On my darkened heart
the light of Christ has shone

Called into a kingdom
that cannot be shaken
Heaven’s citizen by grace and grace alone

So I’ll stand in faith by grace and grace alone
I will run the race by grace and grace alone
I will slay my sin by grace and grace alone
I will reach the end by grace and grace alone

TESTIMONIAL

SONG

Holy, Holy, Holy

[Verse 1]
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee.
Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!

[Verse 2]
Holy, holy, holy! all the saints adore thee,
Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea.
Cherubim and seraphim, falling down before thee,
Who was and is and evermore shall be.

[Verse 3]
Holy, Holy, Holy! though the darkness hide thee,
Though the eye of sinful man thy glory may not see,
Only thou art holy; there is none beside thee,
Perfect in pow’r, in love, and purity.

[Verse 4]
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise thy name, in earth, and sky, and sea;
Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity.

SERMON
“3-in-1”

15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
16 And I will ask the Father,
and he will give you another Helper,
   to be with you forever,

17 even the Spirit of truth,
   whom the world cannot receive,
because it neither sees him nor knows him.
You know him, for he dwells with you
   and will be in you.

18 “I will not leave you as orphans;
   I will come to you.
19 Yet a little while and the world will see me no more,
   but you will see me.
Because I live, you also will live.

20 In that day you will know that I am in my Father,
and you in me, and I in you.
21 Whoever has my commandments and keeps them,
he it is who loves me.
And he who loves me will be loved by my Father,
and I will love him and manifest myself to him.”
John 14:15-21 (ESV)

SONG

King of Kings

[Verse 1]
In the darkness we were waiting
Without hope, without light
‘Til from heaven You came running
There was mercy in Your eyes

To fulfill the law and prophets
To a virgin came the word
From a throne of endless glory
To a cradle in the dirt

[Chorus]
Praise the Father, praise the Son
Praise the Spirit, three in one
God of glory, Majesty
Praise forever to the King of Kings

[Verse 2]
To reveal the kingdom coming
And to reconcile the lost
To redeem the whole creation
You did not despise the cross

For even in your suffering
You saw to the other side
Knowing this was our salvation
Jesus for our sake you died

[Chorus]

[Verse 3]
And the morning that You rose
All of heaven held its breath
Till that stone was moved for good
For the Lamb had conquered death

And the dead rose from their tombs
And the angels stood in awe
For the souls of all who’d come
To the Father are restored

And the Church of Christ was born
Then the Spirit lit the flame
Now this gospel truth of old
Shall not kneel, shall not faint

By His blood and in His name
In His freedom I am free
For the love of Jesus Christ
Who has resurrected me

[Chorus]
