Moses spoke to the Lord, saying, “Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation who shall go out before them and come in before them, who shall lead them out and bring them in, that the congregation of the Lord may not be as sheep that have no shepherd.”

Numbers 27:15-17

And as they were eating, he took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to them, and said, “Take; this is my body.”

Mark 14:22

For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
1 Corinthians 11:26

“That God does not exist, I cannot deny. That my whole being cries out for God I cannot forget.”

– Jean-Paul Sartre

“Jesus’ healings are … the only truly ‘natural’ things in a world that is unnatural, demonized, and wounded.”

– Jurgen Moltmann

“It is not God’s intention that we should be in ourselves adequate to our tasks. Rather, he wants that we should be inadequate. If we only accept the tasks which we think are adapted to our powers, we are not responding to the call of God.”
– Tim Keller

“‘Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
Matthew 4:4

Great Things

[Verse 1]
Come let us worship our King
Come let us bow at His feet
He has done great things

See what our Savior has done
See how His love overcomes
He has done great things
He has done great things

Oh Hero of Heaven, You conquered the grave
You free every captive and break every chain
Oh God, You have done great things

We dance in Your freedom, awake and alive
Oh Jesus, our Savior, Your name lifted high
Oh God, You have done great things

[Verse 2]
You’ve been faithful through every storm
You’ll be faithful forevermore
You have done great things

And I know You will do it again
For Your promise is “Yes and amen”
You do great things
God, You do great things

Hallelujah God, above it all
Hallelujah God, unshakable
Hallelujah, You have done great things

Jesus Paid it All

[Verse 1]
I hear the Savior say
Thy strength indeed is small
Child of weakness, watch and pray
Find in Me thine all in all

Jesus paid it all
All to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow

[Verse 2]
Lord, now indeed I find
Thy power and Thine alone
Can change the leper’s spots
and melt the heart of stone

[Verse 3]
And when before the throne
I stand in Him complete
“Jesus died my soul to save”
My lips shall still repeat

Oh Praise the one who paid my debt
And raised this life up from the dead

Lead on O King Eternal

[Verse 1]
Lead on, O King Eternal
‘Til sin’s fierce war shall cease
And holiness shall whisper
The sweet amen of peace

[Verse 2]
For not with swords loud clashing
Nor roll of stirring drums
But deeds of love and mercy
The heavenly kingdom comes

Let Your kingdom come
And Your will be done
Right here on the earth
Like it is in heaven

[Verse 3]
Lead on, O King Eternal
We follow not with fears
For gladness breaks like morning
Wherever Thy face appears

[Verse 4]
Thy cross is lifted o’er us
We journey in its light
We follow as You guide us
Lead on, O God of might

Two-Week Missions Seminar: “You and the Global Church” – Tragically, it is common in America today for followers of Jesus to neglect praying for, actively supporting, or giving much thought to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). What is the gift we are missing? What could it look like instead for us and families here in the South Bay? Join us for a two-part conversation about God’s heart for all people groups, His calling for some to leave the comforts of home, and His invitation to all believers – including you – to partner in this work. We’ll meet on Sundays, 10/22 & 10/29 at 8:30am. Register HERE.

Prayer Focus (A.C.T.S.) – This group meets next on Tuesday (10/24), and it’s led by Sarah and Johnny Park. Join them for a time of prayer, praise, and devotion, through the acronym ACTS (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication). Please register for which days to attend, as the space only allows for 10 people per meeting. Click HERE for details and to let us know you’re coming.

Friday Night Bible Book Study in Hermosa in Hosea (10/27, 11/10, 12/1): Led by Chris Lau. At each session, we come prepared to share an observation, a question, the meaning of the passage, and an application. We hope you can join us! For more details and to register click HERE.

WOMEN | Thursday Night Bible Book Study: Women’s Accountability. “You Give Them Something to Eat”

Mark 6:30-44

30 The apostles returned to Jesus and told him all that they had done and taught. 31 And he said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while.” For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat. 32 And they went away in the boat to a desolate place by themselves. 33 Now many saw them going and recognized them, and they ran there on foot from all the towns and got there ahead of them. 34 When he went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. And he began to teach them many things. 35 And when it grew late, his disciples came to him and said, “This is a desolate place, and the hour is now late. 36 Send them away to go into the surrounding countryside and villages and buy themselves something to eat.” 37 But he answered them, “You give them something to eat.” And they said to him, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give it to them to eat?” 38 And he said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.” And when they had found out, they said, “Five, and two fish.” 39 Then he commanded them all to sit down in groups on the green grass. 40 So they sat down in groups, by hundreds and by fifties. 41 And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing and broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the people. And he divided the two fish among them all. 42 And they all ate and were satisfied. 43 And they took up twelve baskets full of broken pieces and of the fish. 44 And those who ate the loaves were five thousand men.

Your Glory/Nothing But the Blood

My life is Yours
My hope is in You only
My heart You hold
‘Cause You made this sinner holy
And holy

‘Cause Your glory is so beautiful
I fall onto my knees in awe
And the heartbeat of my life
Is to worship in Your light
‘Cause Your glory is so beautiful
‘Cause Your glory is so beautiful

Glory glory hallelujah
Jesus You are good

[Bridge 2]
What can wash away my sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus

Oh, precious is the flow
That makes me white as snow
No other fount I know
Nothing but the blood of Jesus

Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.”
John 6:35
